Brampton Excelsiors have a strangle hold on the Mann Cup Final

Allsports article on the Mann Cup Final between the Brampton Excelsiors and the Langley Thunder. Brampton has a strangle hold on the series with a close 5-4 win.

Allsports here for more Mann Cup sports news and sports on the web. So game 4 went off last night in Langley and the home side was in desperate need of a win to tie the series up. Another loss and Brampton would go up 3-1 in the series and it would likely be to deep a hole for the Thunder to climb out of.

The game was scoreless for 31 minutes and 4 seconds (likely some kind of Mann Cup record for goal drought) with neither team giving an inch on defense. until Athan Iannucci opened the scoring. Mike Grimes made it 2-0 for the home side three minutes later but Dan Dawson got one back for Brampton. Iannucci got his second of the frame and Jarrett Davis answered with an unassisted  tally in the last minute of the second period to bring Brampton within one.
