So the only semi-final series left to be decided is the Detroit Red Wings and the San Jose Sharks. The Sharks opened up a 3-0 series lead and the Red Wings appeared to be the dead things but what a difference the last three games have been. That's why it is a best of seven, you never know when momentum will swing. Detroit has won all three and if not for Antti Niemi the last one would not have been close.

After San Jose had their collective heal on the throat of Detroit, they could not finish them off and now the Wings have the Sharks squeezing their sticks. The crowd in San Jose will be holding their breath in nervous anticipation to see if their team can come through. The Wings have the advantage of experience coming through in the clutch while the Sharks, not so much. Either way it will be a great game.

Vancouver awaits the victor and allsports is sure they hope the game goes into a couple of periods of overtime. http://amplify.com/u/a12h7x

Justin Verlander flirts with Perfection

Justin Verlander of the Detroit Tigers was dominant against the Toronto Blue Jays Yesterday at the Rogers Center. Verlander pitched a No Hitter and was one pitch away from a perfect game. A very close pitch on a 3-2 count was called a ball, so he walked one batter and saw a perfect game go down the drain.

Well the Washington Capitals choked up another lead last night in Tampa, letting the Lightning score two quick ones for a 4-3 victory. The Caps backs are against the wall now down three and could be gone after tonight. This would be a huge upset.

Vancouver held on for an overtime win in Nashville to go up 2-1 in the series. Pekka Rinne kept the Predators in the game http://amplify.com/u/a11bnc
