More great Hockey in the NHL 2nd Round

Allsports article on the second round of the NHL Playoffs. What he thinks will decide the series and what to watch for as the series progress, then who will win.

Amplify’d from allsportsontheweb.com

Hi all, allsports here for the hockey sports news and sports on the web. Well the opening round was a bit of a wild ride and must have set some kind of record for overtime games in a playoff round. It just goes to show the parity in the National Hockey League today. The difference between winning and loosing a series can boil down to one great play or one foolish mistake.

Many Teams taking the gamble in NHL play

Allsports article on the first round of the NHL playoffs and how teams are forced to gamble when their backs are to the wall. To use a Texas Holdem term, they are ALL IN

Amplify’d from allsportsontheweb.com
Allsports here with an update on the NHL playoffs for the sports news and sports on the web. As the playoff series progress some teams get to the point where they have to gamble because their backs are against the wall. Much like the Texas Holdem Poker player with the short stack, you get to the point where there are only so many blinds left and you have to push the envelope and try to make something happen.

Bettman Has no use for Canadian NHL team

You have to shake your head over how two faced the weasel, Gary Bettman is. He has bent over backwards trying to make a deal to keep a poor franchise in Phoenix (for two years now). Yet he told Edmonton back in February, build a new arena or your franchise is gone. End of story, no looking for owners to keep it there etc, etc. Funny he has not said anything to the New York Islanders and the dump they call and arena.

I guess Gary just likes the Canadian teams to pay about 50% of the revenue share to keep his crappy market franchises in Atlanta, Nashville, Florida, Dallas and Phoenix afloat.

One thing is unanimous in Canada, we love our hockey and hate the weasel Gary Bettman

the Detroit Red Wings. The final crowd, a sellout of 17,314.

GLENDALE, AZ - The last goal, by Martin Hanzal. The last result, a 6-3 loss to the Detroit Red Wings. The final crowd, a sellout of 17,314.

These will either be meaningless statistics from just another NHL game, or trivia questions about the final breaths of a dying franchise.

The Phoenix Coyotes saw their 15th season in Arizona end mercilessly in a four-game, first-round playoff sweep Wednesday night.

But while players will be packing garbage bags in the dressing room over the next day or two, it’s not certain they’ll be packing for Winnipeg, come autumn.

Will come back win push Sharks forward

The NHL playoffs have not been to kind to the San Jose Sharks the past few years. Always going in as the favorite only to disappoint.

It looked to be the same old thing last night at the Staples Center, down 4-0 at one point to the L.A. Kings, the Sharks stormed back to tie the game before winning it in overtime.

Is this a rally to push forward in the playoffs? If so the Sharks need their goaltending to step up

There was the Miracle on Manchester. Now, there's the Nightmare at Staples Center.

Devin Setoguchi scored 3:09 into overtime, and the San Jose Sharks stunned the Los Angeles Kings, rallying from a four-goal deficit to post a 6-5 victory in Game 3 of the club's Western Conference quarterfinal series.

Allsports Article on the Boston Bruins sleepwalking through the opening two games of their playoff series with the Montreal Canadians.

The Bruins find themselves down two games and heading to Montreal for games 3&4. Boston has to start playing in the dirty areas of the ice and make life for Carey Price difficult because if they don't Price will stone them and this series will be over quickly. Tim Thomas, the Bruins goalie has to get his head out of his ass too. The great goaltending dual has been weighted heavily in Price's favor so far.

Our Canadian House of Commons. This picture is worth a trillion $$

House Minority Leader pictured standing, far right, speaks while colleagues play solitaire Monday night as the House convened to vote on a new budget. (AP)

The guy sitting in the row in front of these two....he's on Facebook, and the guy behind Hennessy is checking out the baseball scores.

These are the folks that couldn't get the budget out by Oct. 1, and are about to control your health care, cap and trade, and the list goes on and on….

Should we buy them larger screen computers - or - a ticket home, permanently?

The NHL Playoffs, toughest grind in sport

Allsports article on the opening round of the NHL Playoffs. Who will get into the second round? Who will have the grit to go all the way?

Amplify’d from allsportsontheweb.com

So it that time of year again where the toughest grind in professional sports takes up most of the space in the sports news and sports on the web. Allsports is talking of course about the NHL playoffs. Who will manage to stay healthy enough to win 16 games and earn the right to sip from Lord Stanley’s Mug. As is usually the case the parity of the teams is so close that any of the 16 teams that get to the dance can have a shot, hot goalkeeping and timely scoring can take a team a long way. Look no further than Halak with the Montreal Canadians last year.

Now the Leafs have no chance

Buffalo won last night so the Leafs are gone, 1% is now 0%

So the playoff ride for the Toronto Maple Leafs is over. Not only did they loose in a shootout to Washington last night but the Buffalo Sabres beat Tampa Bay 4-2. It was a very LONG shot for Toronto anyway but they did manage to gain some very positive momentum to carry into next season. The question is, can they do it?

The New York Islanders seemed to have turned the corner to respectability as well. It is a good fan base there, hopefully a better product will put more asses in the seats. A new arena would not hurt either. http://amplify.com/u/bxyq2

I had not heard of this . After a bit of research, I found that unfortunately this is TRUE. Its been banned for use in most parts of the world , but not in Canada or the USA. In Canada they call it reconstituted meat.

All the more reason to read the food labels, just another example of government bodies letting the consumer down.
